I honestly can't recommend Matty enough. 5* service from beginning to end. Turned up on time. All investigations into the work needed were explained with photos where possible and with no charge. Options explained. On the day of the boiler fitting he was so respectful of my property with floor coverings to and from his entry routes. Took shoes off to go upstairs. Cleaned all the work surface when finished. Just perfect. On top of all this a really lovely guy to chat to. I was particularly impressed that because we ended up needing a new pump too, ( he did warn us at the quote stage this may also be needed and quoted the price) he sourced it on the day and managed to get a cheaper price than the original quote and passed this on to us. We also had him repair 2 toilets while here. We now have a plumber and gas engineer we can rely on for annual inspection of the boiler. Thank you so much Matty.

MCL plumbing and heating replaced my broken shower a couple of years ago and their work was impeccable. When my old boiler packed up they were the first people that came to mind. He helped us find a good plan to go with when what we thought would be a simple job then found that pur boiler needed replacing so was going to be considerably more. He helped find the best boiler for our price point given the unexpected cost. He then did the job within a reasonable time, was on time and very friendly through the whole thing. Cannot complain about anything (Matty) has done since I booked him for a combi boiler service back in October 2024. Did the service and pointed out a few issues with my Worcester bosch boiler (it was over 10yrs old). He recommended either limp on with it or replace. At the time we agreed to limp on, however, in July this year it broke down. Matty attended and unfortunately recommended a replacement. We agreed and 1st August was arranged. Matty/his team are simply excellent. All works were carried out to a high standard and nothing too much trouble, polite respectful and lighthearted. When fitting the new boiler we had to have the manufacturer out due to a fault - nothing at all to do with MCL. Matt has serviced my heating system for the last ten years. He installed a new boiler in December 2022 and has recently completed a yearly service. Matty has been my gas engineer for more than 15 years and has never let me down. He is very competitive on price, completes all work to a very high standard and has excellent communication skills. Prior to installing the new boiler Matthew talked through the options that were available to me and within a few weeks I had a new heating system, which was much appreciated as the previous one had stopped working. This is my first time using MCL Plumbing. Matty came out to service my boiler and gas fire. He highlighted a safety issue with my boiler which had been missed by others and went out of his way to fix it. Matty fitted me a boiler several years ago, and has serviced my boiler ever since, his craftsmanship is second to none, and he is such a polite fellow. He found a problem with the burner on my boiler this time, so he was straight onto the service guys at ideal, and arranged them to come next day to fit the new burner, as the boiler was still under warranty. Matty is a very reliable plumber. He can be relied upon to arrive as planned and carry out any work to an exceptionally high standard. The work will also be competively priced in my case half the price of british gas. I was having trouble with my water pressure,matty fitted me in due to him being busy when he came he explained that he would change the stop tap firstly, this didn’t solve the problem, upon further investigation found a blockage in a non return valve,removed this I can’t believe the difference has made to the water pressure. His upfront communication bill as polite, he didn’t try charge me a fortune, but Ben insisting I go choose and purchase my own tap and advised which to avoid. Arrived on the date agreed, advised of an approximate time before hand, informed me when on the way to my property. Kept me informed throughout the job of the issue, the cause of the issue and what would be needed to fix the toilets. Worked very clean and tidy and was respectful to my property and myself. After a hard day at work we find there is no better way to decompress than getting a nice hot shower to wash away the days problems! For years our house has suffered from low pressure and a limited supply of hot water, due to having a gravity fed cylinder system and teenager daughters. After contacting MCL we discussed all our needs and wants, as well as the pros and cons of different systems.
